Our Vision

In the name of Jesus Christ, we seek to worship God wholeheartedly and faithfully, to give his Word top priority in our lives, to reach out with the good news of Jesus Christ to as many people as possible, and to pray for each other as we bear one another's burdens and encourage each other toward love and good deeds. With God’s guidance, we seek to . . .

  • Provide joyful, Christ-centered, weekly worship gatherings that are welcoming to both members and guests.

  • Offer engaging Bible study that meets the spiritual needs of people of all ages.

  • Make available training opportunities for all to increase confidence in sharing God’s Word.

  • Improve community awareness of our congregation through activities that reflect our Christian love.

  • Increase member awareness of and participation in our ministry.

Our History

Mt. Calvary began as a mission church in Kimberly, WI in 1937.  In 2005, we moved to Harrison WI.  Shepherd of the Valley School was built and we currently worship in its gym.  There are plans to build a church in the future with our Restore His House project.

Ministry Partners

Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church is a member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod- a group of Bible believing churches which stand together to glorify God through adherence to the doctrines of Scripture and joint work to further God's Kingdom.  Locally we are partners in the ministry with WELS United.  The Hope Center is an outlet for us to share the compassion of Christ both physically and spiritually with the struggling in our community.  Because Christian education for our children is important to the members of Mt. Calvary, we support Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran School (Pre-K--8th Grade) with our gifts and offerings along with St. Luke Lutheran Church in Little Chute and Bethel Lutheran Church in Menasha.  Together with over 2 dozen Wisconsin Synod Churches in the Fox River Valley, Mt. Calvary also supports Fox Valley Lutheran High School.  Our Synod is also federated with Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee.  In order to prepare future pastors and teachers for our churches and schools, the Wisconsin Synod supports Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN and two preparatory high schools: Luther Preparatory School in Watertown, WI and Michigan Lutheran Seminary in Saginaw, MI.  Our ministry partners are important to us because we can do much more together than we can alone.  The Lord blessed Mt. Calvary with partners who hold Jesus and His Word in as high esteem as we do!
