Teen Activities at Mount Calvary A TEEN bible study is held Sunday mornings at 9:00 am during the same time as the adult bible study and the Sunday school classes for the younger youth. Currently this has been for all youth in grades 7 through 12. Our Teens need us to improve this by splitting this into two groups; one for middle school teens, grades 7-8 and one for the high school teens, grades 9-12. It is important for our Teens to feel that they have a place that is right for them. To accomplish this, we need additional help! These are great youth who just need a facilitator to lead their studies and discussions. Please prayerfully consider involving yourself in this opportunity. With enough facilitators, a rotating schedule can be developed so that there are opportunities to meet your own needs … whether that be attending the adult bible study, church music rehearsals, work schedules, etc. All of the studies come with everything needed, including a facilitators guide with all of the "answers." There are no activities/crafts to plan as with Sunday School classes. You just need to be there for the Youth. Plus, you likely will even find yourself enjoying and learning from the topics addressed. Contact Patti Denton to become a TEEN bible study facilitator: e-mail: dentons4u@hotmail.com or home phone 731-0877. Please note, the TEEN bible studies are separate from the church Youth Group activities. The Youth Group is a collaboration of Mt. Calvary, St. Luke, Eternal Love, & Bethel that involves activities with a brief devotional. It has also recently been split into two groups; one for middle school teens, grades 7-8 and one for the high school teens, grades 9-12 with both currently meeting on the 2nd & 4th Sunday’s of the month at 7:00 pm, generally at Mt. Calvary. The Youth Group has planned activities thus far such as game night, bon fire, bowling, and a service project of making Christmas cards that they then delivered to Peabody Manor. Plus, the older group has additionally met at the coffee shop, had another pizza/game night, and been invited to a January Teen Weekend Retreat. For more information, contact Kari Sengstock, of Mt.
