Choirs

The purpose of our Church Choirs is to join
in fellowship with those who hold to God’s pure Word. Colossians 3:16.
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one
another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs
with gratitude in your hearts to God.”
Praise Team
Meets on the first and third Tuesday, September through May, at 6:30 p.m.
June through August the Praise Team meets every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
Adult Choral Choir
Meets on the second and fourth Tuesday, September through May, at 6:30 p.m.
June through August they have summer vacation.
Handbell Chime Choir
Meets with the Adult Choral Choir.
In
order to participate in our Church Choirs, you must be a confirmed WELS
member.
Christian
Parent Teachers Association

This
group exists to encourage parental involvement in the school and to help
train our parents and teachers on today’s educational issues. All parents
with school age children are invited to attend in an effort to learn more
about our school and its programs, to become more involved in our school,
and develop new parenting skills.
While there are no set meeting
times, several educational events are planned each year as well as several
fun activities. Meeting times will be announced in the church bulletin and
on the church calendar.
Christian Women’s Society

The purpose of this society is to serve Mt. Calvary Congregation and School
in particular and the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod in general. Our
society welcomes all women of the congregation who diligently use the Means
of Grace and lead a Christian life. We hold a Craft and Bake Sale in
December and conclude the season in May with a Mother/Daughter Banquet, just
to mention a few of our events. Our society is a great way to meet the
ladies at Mt. Calvary and to help serve our congregation and school in any
way.
Meets 1st Tuesday of the month from October – May at 7:00 P.M. in the
school commons.
Mother & Toddler Group

This group focuses on mothers with young children (ages 5 and younger) to
get together to let the children play and have social interaction with each
other. This time also allows mothers to have relaxed conversations with
other mothers. Gatherings end with a short devotion, bible verse, and
prayer.
Meets weekly Monday evenings 6:30-7:30 in the school commons.

The mission of this group is “To
increase interest in and to support mission endeavors which are part of or
in the interest of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod.” Our goal is
to instill a love for missions and to serve our Savior. We have a desire to
learn more about missions and we look at each person as a precious soul of
God, here in Menasha and the world. Imagine sharing the message of eternal
life!
At the present time the group
does not have scheduled meeting times. Meeting times will be announced in
the church bulletin and on the church calendar.

Lutheran Pioneers exist to reach
out to and nurture the youth of the world with the saving gospel message of
Jesus Christ.
To
achieve our mission, Lutheran Pioneers provides a ministry under the
direction of the Pastor and congregation that:

Is of interest to the adolescent youth.
·
Teaches useful skills for living in God's world.
·
Develops a knowledge of God's creation.
·
Develops Christian leadership skills.
·
Encourages fellowship with Christians.
·
Encourages serving our Lord by serving our fellowman in our
church and community.
It
is an awesome opportunity for our youth to spend time and have fun with
Christian friends and adult leaders. All boys grades 1-8 are invited
to attend.

Girl Pioneers

Girl Pioneers is an easy way to
associate and mingle with other girls in your congregation, and even make
new friends. All girls from 1st grade through High School are
invited to attend.
As an organization founded to
keep our girls "Loyal to Christ", Lutheran Girl Pioneers (LGP) shall strive
to develop in each member her potential for leadership through personal
interaction skills with others and promote service to the Lord and to the
world around her. This will be accomplished through worship, evangelism,
education, citizenship and recreational activities, all centered in God's
word and consistent with the doctrine of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran
Synod or of a Lutheran Church in doctrinal fellowship with the Wisconsin
Evangelical Lutheran Synod.
Girl Pioneers meet every other
Tuesday from 6:20 p.m. to 7:45 p.m., September through April.
Senior Breakfast Group

This church group meets the second Wednesday of each month at 8:30.a.m.
These meetings take place at several area restaurants. Notice of the
breakfast meetings will be on your monthly church calendar and in the church
bulletin. The cost of the breakfast is handled by each individual. All
retired and senior church members are cordially invited; however, any
interested church member may attend.
The breakfast get-together is an excellent way for the group to socialize
and communicate in a Christian environment.
Youth Group

The Youth Group is a collaboration of Mt. Calvary, St. Luke, Eternal Love,
& Bethel that involves activities with a brief devotional. It has also
recently been split into two groups; one for middle school teens, grades 7-8
and one for the high school teens, grades 9-12 with both currently meeting
on the 2nd & 4th Sunday’s of the month at 7:00 pm, generally at Mt.
Calvary. The Youth Group has planned activities thus far such as game
night, bon fire, bowling, and a service project of making Christmas cards
that they then delivered to Peabody Manor. Plus, the older group has
additionally met at the coffee shop, had another pizza/game night, and been
invited to a January Teen Weekend Retreat.
